Insightful, personal, humorous, and to the point.

Kevin Kreider's early career "tell all" is an approachable look at what makes a solid personal trainer from the inside perspective. Kreider reveals himself in a vulnerable way by sharing his experiences as an inexperienced fitness professional, what it means to be a "rookie trainer," and offers up practical ways to spot it while searching for the perfect fitness "relationship."

Overall, this is a quick read with some great insight for those of us who are seeking the help to acheive a healthier and more fit lifestyle, but are having trouble navigating the vast ocean of fitness professionals. This e-book will help keep you (and your trainer) more aware of staying focused on your fitness goals rather than some of the sometimes humorous distractions that may arise.

This is a very well written personal account of years of experience that is a perfect guide for those looking to make a life change and be committed to training. Kevin Kreider has a unique way of articulating in writing experiences and advise to motivate anyone to train. I've had a trainer for years and had not even thought of some of the issues he brings up. It really is a must read for anyone interested in fitness, getting fit, and finding a trainer that works for them and with them to meet their personal goals. It also helped me to think about my goals and put a few things into perspective. It was a very easy read and once I started, I did not want to nor did I stop reading it. It was also a fun read!

I had the privilege of working with Kevin as I trained for my first show. His knowledge, experience, and leadership characteristics are second to none. I learned more from working with Kevin over 12 weeks than I did in 3 years of training without a trainer. His foresight in this book will without doubt shed light on the truth about the world of personal training. This book is an absolute MUST READ.

About the Author
A former White House intern, and radio and television talk show personality, Demetrius Minor now chooses to spread his message of God as Pastoral Assistant at Calvary New Life Tabernacle in Atlanta, GA. His debut book, Preservation and Purpose, is the first of many planned for publication over the coming years. An outstandingly insightful and profoundly visionary book from a unique and significant point of view

I purchased this book after hearing the author speak. Demetrius is an incredibly thoughtful, intelligent, and precise speaker, and his writing is absolutely of the same caliber. The purpose of the book seems to be two-fold: first, it is an incredibly encouraging spiritual narrative in which the reader is shown instance after instance of God's special preservation and guidance. I was stunned by Demetrius' keen discernment of God's working in his life before I even reached Part 2 of the book. The book is divided into two parts: Part 1 is "Preservation," and Part 2 is "Purpose." In Part 2, an unexpected circumstance from the author's life is revealed, a plot twist that would be worthy of any novel or film, yet more powerful as a real-life, first person account. I was absolutely blown away at Demetrius' spiritual maturity and grace in light of this circumstance. You will be stunned and deeply caught up in the story when you reach the second chapter of Part 2.

The second purpose is inferred from the subtitle, for "Millennial" is a word with political connotations. Demetrius recounts his intellectual growth leading up to him earning the prestigious position of intern in the George W. Bush White House. His political career does not culminate there, however; he goes on to discuss how following that time he was given a platform in various ways to share his views. One of the things I appreciate most from his introduction is his exhortation that "All our voices should be heard and respected. Please add your voice to the most important conversation of our lifetime: our future." I have been happy to share this book with those in minority groups who have been told by their leaders and culture that they must think a certain way, for Demetrius is blazing a path for the newer Millennial generation to think for themselves, and to consider wisely the consequences of ideas.

In all, the author's astuteness, pleasant and humble tone, and intuitive and keen thought make this book an outstanding and helpful read. I would encourage every young American to read it and to glean from its pages the tools to grow into a powerful and compassionate thinker after the example of Demetrius.

Join Demetrius on a journey.

In Preservation and Purpose Demetrius Minor has written a book that is part memoir and part road map for the future. As a reader, you are made to feel as though you joined him on his journey in life. I found that I was able to experience the highest of his joys with him. When he discussed how the death of his grandmother, birth mother, and adopted mother affected him, you could feel his pain with him.

A common theme during the course of his book is that Demetrius is always thankful to God for everything, and he is able to recognize His guiding hand during his life. Being able to understand that shows true humility, and a recognition that we can’t do things on our own.

It can be easy to be pessimistic about the future of this country. However, knowing that there are people out there like Demetrius should give us all hope for the future. We are in good hands with people like him.

Understanding the "Millennial Minority" and the future of America.

I freely admit that I am not an unbiased reviewer, Demetrius and I have known each other for quite a long time--indeed, he was the officiant at my wedding!

Putting my disclosure aside, I have to say that Dee has written an excellent work that tracks how he came to self-identify as a member of the "millennial minority", born after 1980, yet more comfortable than most millennials with harboring traditional views on faith, family, and politics. (Although some more recent additions to the millennial generation will likely have no idea why Demetrius once had to record music off the radio onto a cassette tape. After all, they might ask, "What in God's name is a cassette tape?")

For anyone wondering what Christian conservatism will look like for the millennial generation, give Dee's book a careful read-through. There remains a minority, yet vibrant and significant, number of churched millennials who are ready to navigate--and lead--America in the 21st Century. Those voices ought to be listened to, and their views carefully considered.

And certainly, Americans of all ages, creeds, ideologies, genders, and colors can agree with Dee on this: "Closing our minds to hope means accepting the finality of failure. Man was not created to be a failure."

A great read!

Just wanted to be the first to write a review for Keith Blackmore, on yet another great book. I began reading work by this author when a friend told me about "The Mountain Man", which was a fantastic book. But, I must admit horror is not my usual genre, but thought I would give it a try, and I was not disappointed! This book- which is my genre of choice- was also a fantastic book! It has great characters, a great story, action, comedy, some great twists,and I thoroughly enjoyed it from beginning to end. Starts off explosively and keeps you enthralled to the end. I highly recommend this book to all you fantasy enthusiasts...and for any of you who aren't, give it a try, it may change your mind(yes really)!!
Anyways, thanks to the author for another awesome book! I will be reading more of your work for sure, and am anticipating your mountain man sequel!! I just purchased " The Missing Boatmen" a few minutes ago, and am going to start reading it right away! I'm sure it will suck me into "your world " like the last two I have read and I'm sure I won't be disappointed!! Keep up the great work, your a marvelous storyteller!

What an awesome, fast paced, gritty and entertaining book!

Blackmore ranks out there with the Morgans,Buchanans, Abercrombies, Glen Cook , Vaughn Heppner, Mark Lawrence, among others.

His ability in creating awfull, yet eminently likeable, characters, is wonderfull! The pace of the books is fantastic, as is the action.

An Author to follow. Eagerly.

Don't Fail to Read This Book

This book is a perfect companion book to a trial advocacy textbook. The book takes the student/lawyer from the beginning of a case through the moment just before trial. There is a lot of material to cover and Mauet does so very effectively. As an aside, I am amazed by how clear his table of contents reads. The table does not just contain subject headings but is an excellent outline for anyone to refer to in their practice.

Mauet provides not only a wonderful overview of all the things a lawyer needs to consider in litigating a case but also provides practical tips such as how to conduct discovery on a limited budget. If you are a young lawyer, Mauet answers questions you may be afraid to ask such as "How do I start the deposition?" Believe it or not, something so basic is not covered in law school, but Mauet provides the answers here.

inspiring and entertaining

This is a brilliant book. Very interesting subject, beautifully written with many entertaining background stories. I have tried his advice and am fascinated with results. I feel better than ever, although I have never suffered from any allergies. It just makes so much sense. Everybody would profit from reading it. I have already told all my friends and family about this book and will be buying it to them as birthday presents...

The new frontier in tennis. Multidimensional thinking that will change tennis forever.

To me this book is important and relevant for many reasons. Not only is Novak one of the best players in the history of the game but as the book reveals he is a pioneer in his approach to all aspects of the game. Because of a media bias I ( and everyone else who gets their info from western media ) was not aware of the complete story of the tragedy of the Bosnian war. I was never aware of the difficulties he and his family faced. For someone who grew up with relatively little access to free information on alternative approaches to health he has certainly excelled and become a ground breaker into this exciting, relatively untapped field of self healing.
The book is gripping for anyone with an inquiring, open mind. It has a great balance of insight into the miracle and simplicity of self healing and a unique insight into professional tennis. It is clearly written. It is not loaded with unnecessary medical jargon or unsubstantiated facts. He doesn't claim to be a nutritionist or doctor. He just learnt to listen with an open mind and heart.

Everything Novak writes about makes absolute sense to me. It addresses so many levels of life that isn't typically generic and fearful. I am just surprised that it has taken this long for some one of his calibre to take advantage of what has been there all along. It's a wonderful irony that as he achieved financial success where he could afford the most expensive allopathic medical doctors opinions he found the answers for free.
I am sure in a way Novak is appreciative of his hardships. Without them he would never have pushed to discovered his full potential.
I admire Novak for speaking out against the norm. It takes a special kind of person to be this aware, to walk the talk and not be a sheep who just follows.
I just wish he had written about the importance of fresh water. Most tap water contains, chlorides and other very harmful chemicals. One should always try filter tap water.
Water bottled in plastic contains harmful chemicals from the plastic. One should try to only drink from glass bottled water.

I am a 51 year old South African male ( tennis nut ) I am busy with an alternative treatment to cure cancer (Lymphoma) that is organic food based. It's called the Gerson therapy [...] I have done this therapy for 3 years now. After 2 years my bloods were totally normal. I have no traces of cancer. I am healthier and happier than I have ever been. For these reasons this book makes so much sense to me.
Like Novak I learned to listen to my body.
