Dense and Difficult, but Worth the Effort

This book is an excellent "next step" from Bird, Stewart and Lightfoot's classic textbook "Transport Phenomena." While BSL is a great textbook, it lacks some of the more advanced techniques that Deen discusses, especially the Finite Fourier Transform. But be forewarned: this is a very difficult book. Even reading it can be frustrating. The problems are extremely challenging. In order to really understand and ultimately be able to replicate Deen's elegant solutions, working through the examples carefully is a necessity. You will be frustrated, but the result is worth the effort.

Great transport book

Great transport textbook I would highly recommend to Chemical Engineers (especially at the graduate level), or anyone else highly interested in transport and fluids. The language is concise, but the explanations are sufficient to get to complex topics with some heavy thinking on your own accord. Definitely a textbook I will keep in my library.
