About the Author
David L. Robbins is the author of twelve action-packed novels, including War of the Rats, Broken Jewel, The Betrayal Game, The Assassins Gallery, and Scorched Earth. An award-winning essayist and screenwriter, Robbins founded the James River Writers, an organization dedicated to supporting professional and aspiring writers. He also cofounded the Podium Foundation, which encourages artistic expression in Richmond’s public schools. Lately, his charitable energies have gone into creating the Mighty Pen Project, a writing program for Virginia’s military veterans. Robbins is an avid sailor on the Chesapeake Bay and extends his creative scope beyond fiction as an accomplished guitarist. He currently teaches advanced creative writing at Virginia Commonwealth University Honors College. Robbins lives in Richmond, Virginia.

An action novel for Animal Lovers! Recommended even for the non-military enthusiasts...

Very few action novelists have been able to grip my attention the way Robbins does. I have managed to stay with the PJs through their various missions with captivating story-lines and realistic characters. Through the scope of "serve and protect," Robbins brings us very human characters with both endearing and frustrating personality complexes. With illegal animal trafficking and poaching at a high, the topic and breadth of the book covers many aspects of the black market trade, keeping the characters directly connected and giving the reader the license to generate opinions about character and place. Elements of love, greed, and betrayal all percolate on the open savanna.

Another PJ winner by David L. Robbins

Once again David L Robbins did not disappoint his readers. The Devil's Horn places the readers in the action, allows the use of their own imagination while surrounding them with accurate geographic description. The readers become co-authors using their own input to flesh out the story. Tight writing with eye pleasing phrases are trademarks of Robbins' works. As with the two preceding novels about the USAF Pararescue teams, The Devil's Waters and The Empty Quarter, this latest novel is another winner. Read the entire series and you'll search for all the novels by this talented author.

Gritty insider view of PJ's

An honest view of the possible interface between a war on poachers and governmental political maneuvering. Neither foe deserves sympathy or compassion, as the poachers targets do. A truly enjoyable and enlightening read.
