I would pass on this

I have this study guide and I just took the test today so here is my honest assessment.
The Good: This study guide is good for getting a feeling for what the test will be like. The block counting is represented well, work on speed.
The Bad: This guide is really lacking in the math and science sections, The polynomial section is taught more as a refresher rather than giving a good explanation on how to solve these problems let alone solve them quickly for people that don't have much of an understanding of polynomials. (I suggest understanding them). Most of what is covered in the science section isn't found on the test. The table reading gets a basic representation from this book, but the actual table is much larger and and the numbers are much smaller than what you find in this guide so where you get a basic understanding, it is not a good representation of what you will actually encounter on the test.
Overall the book gives you a feel for the test, but it is my opinion that it doesn't do a good job of preparing you for the test unless you use it to compliment other study materials.

Still reviewing, but mistake made on page 35 about decimal and percentage conversions. It states to convert a percentage to a decimal to move the decimal two places to the right and remove the percent sign. That is wrong. The decimal needs to be moved to the left. I'm hoping that is the only mistake I find.

Giving this book two stars is generous. Very little book or guidance for the price. Also, goes about reviewing some of the math concepts in a convoluted, poorly thought out way. Worst of all, it has wrong answers when going through some of the math concepts. Much better off buying the Peterson's Mastering the Officer Candidate Test, even if that is not completely up to date on all the AFOQT sections.
